Emra Duo
In 2025, Emra Duo was created by Emily and Joscelyn Leahy. They have already performed in concerts and at events across Perth.
Joscelyn is an award-winning guitarist in her third-year at UWA studying a Bachelor of Music. Last year, she performed in multiple events through UWA, including the Accelerate! Guitars concert, the Guitar and Strings Co-Lab and the Perth International Classical Guitar Festival. She has participated in masterclasses with virtuosos from all over the world, including Chrystian Dozza (Brazil), Johannes Möller (Sweden), Paul Svoboda and Stephanie Jones (Australia). In 2023, Joscelyn held her first solo recital, performing works by Giulio Regondi, Gilbert Biberian, Duncan Gardiner and more. This year, she received the Lynn Kan Memorial prize for achieving the highest aggregate mark in two level 2 performance units, and held her first independent solo concert, Solace. She plays a 2007 cedar-top guitar made by West-Australian luthier Simon Rovis-Hermann.
Emily and Joscelyn met while studying at the UWA Conservatorium of Music and became close friends. They have two distinct playing styles which complement each other to create a holistic and engaging musical experience.
